Super green smoothie bowl + blender giveaway!

Super greens, chlorella powder, mango and collagen are the powerhouses behind this delicious post-holiday detox smoothie in a bowl. And it's all made in my new Wolf Gourmet Blender, which I’ll be giving away!

As I’ve been planning my holiday menu, I’ve also been working on a slew of post-holiday recipes to help balance what’s sure to be a delightful gorge fest. A super green smoothie bowl seemed like the perfect, filling (and fulfilling!) fix to make for a crowd.

While I drink green smoothies on the regular, I’ve never posted any of my recipes because, well, they’re always a little too healthy. (At least that’s the feedback I get from my husband and daughter.) And I agree. My smoothies are packed with more greens and veggies than fruit, so they’re not the super sweet kind that most people actually enjoy drinking. (I enjoy them!)

But this one, finally, was a winner in the tasty department, too — approved by both hubs and Lulu.

Packed with super greens, chlorella powder, mango and banana, I made this bowl using my brand new Wolf Gourmet blender, which the company sent me to review. The verdict: I can honestly say that I looooooooove it. If you’re looking for a new blender that’s equivalent to the Vitamix (but smaller, way prettier and with helpful settings), I suggest you look no further.

This is a high-end appliance, people. After numerous test runs with hot soups, frozen fruit smoothies and batters, I found that it blends everything to perfection. It also has an intuitive LCD control panel that lets you choose options, like soups or smoothies, and then sets a timer to blend the thing on its own until done. Amazing.

As it is Black Friday and deals are abound, I’ll be giving away one blender to a random winner. To enter, go to Instagram, follow @wolfgourmet and @laurelstreetkitchen, and tag a friend on my Insta post. Winners will be announced next week. Good luck! And may the green smoothie be with you.

Disclosure: I received a complimentary blender from Wolf Gourmet to review. All opinions in this post are 100 percent my own. Shop for and get all the details about this blender here.

COOKING NOTES

You can use any greens you want for this. I throw in a handful of the “Super Greens” mix from Organic Girl. But spinach, kale, chard or a combo of all is just fine. Chlorella powder, if you’re not familiar, can be found at most health food stores or on Amazon. (I really like the organic one from Microingredients.) Same with collagen powder. Both of these can be left out if you don’t have them — it won’t affect the taste, just the nutrient content.
